These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your engagement with Verity and the use of its services. By using Verity, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Verity

Verity is a UAE-based service provider that assists individuals in preparing structured legal documents, including wills and related instruments, aligned with applicable requirements of relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates.

These authorities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD)
  • Dubai Courts
  • DIFC Courts
  • Other competent authorities within the UAE

Verity operates through a guided process involving interaction with Verity representatives, who collect information, assist with document preparation, and coordinate drafting.

Where applicable, Verity may facilitate review by qualified legal professionals to support document structure, clarity, and completeness prior to submission.

2. Scope of Services

Verity provides:

  • Assisted preparation of wills and related documents (including, where applicable, powers of attorney and similar instruments)
  • Collection and organisation of user-provided information
  • Preparation of documents using standardised formats aligned with relevant authority requirements
  • General guidance on registration or attestation processes in the UAE
  • Coordination of document review (including lawyer-assisted review, where applicable)

Verity does not provide bespoke legal structuring, legal opinions, or personalised legal advice.

3. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
  • Disclosing all relevant personal, beneficiary, and asset-related details
  • Reviewing and confirming all documents prior to submission or execution

Verity prepares documents based on information provided by the user and does not independently verify such information.

4. Nature of Guidance Provided

Verity representatives may:

  • Ask structured questions to collect required information
  • Provide general explanations of document types and registration processes
  • Assist in completing documentation accurately

All decisions regarding document content remain with the user.

5. Registration and Attestation Processes

The process for registration, attestation, or execution of documents may vary depending on the relevant authority, including but not limited to:

  • ADJD will registration and attestation
  • DIFC Wills Service Centre processes
  • Dubai Courts notarisation (including powers of attorney and related documents)

These processes may involve:

  • Submission of documents
  • Review or proofreading by a court clerk or authorised officer
  • Execution, attestation, or notarisation

Verity primarily supports users at the pre-submission and preparation stage, and may provide general guidance on subsequent steps.

6. Authority Review and Approval

All formal review, approval, attestation, or notarisation of documents is conducted exclusively by the relevant authority (e.g., ADJD, DIFC Courts, Dubai Courts) in accordance with applicable UAE laws and regulations.

Any feedback, amendments, or requests for clarification issued by such authorities form part of their standard processes.

Verity does not control or influence decisions made by these authorities.

7. Fees and Payments

7.1 Service Fees

Verity charges fees for its services:

  • Fees are charged on a per-document basis
  • Applicable pricing is displayed on the Verity Pricing page at the time of purchase

7.2 Government Fees

Unless otherwise specified, the service fee includes applicable government-related charges associated with standard document registration or attestation processes (including, where applicable, ADJD, DIFC, or Dubai Courts).

However:

  • Additional charges may apply in specific circumstances, including but not limited to:
    • Expedited or priority processing requests
    • Changes in government fees after payment
    • Additional services requested beyond the standard scope

Any such additional charges will be communicated to the user in advance.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

8.1 Cancellation

Users may choose not to proceed with the service prior to commencement of drafting.

8.2 Refund Policy

Due to the nature of assisted document preparation services:

  • Fees are non-refundable once the drafting process has commenced, including:
    • Interaction with Verity representatives
    • Collection or processing of user information
    • Initiation of document preparation
  • Refunds may be considered only in cases of:
    • Duplicate or erroneous payment
    • Failure to deliver the service due to a fault attributable to Verity

8.3 Government Fee Component

Where government fees are included within the service fee:

  • Any non-refundable government charges already incurred will be deducted from any approved refund (if applicable)

8.4 Refund Processing

Approved refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–14 business days via the original payment method.

9. Support and Communication

Verity provides support through its team via:

  • Calls, messaging, or email
  • Follow-ups related to document preparation and process coordination

Support is limited to service delivery and process-related assistance.

10. Post-Execution and Interpretation

Once registered, notarised, or executed, documents may be interpreted or applied by courts or relevant authorities in connection with legal, inheritance, or administrative matters.

Verity does not control or influence such interpretation or outcomes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under UAE law:

  • Verity shall not be liable for:
    • Errors or omissions in user-provided information
    • Delays, rejections, or outcomes arising from authority processes
    • Legal or financial consequences resulting from the use or interpretation of any document

Verity’s total liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by the user for the service.

12. Intellectual Property

All templates, documents, workflows, and materials used by Verity are its intellectual property.

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use final documents for personal purposes only.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Verity collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable UAE data protection laws.

Data is used solely for:

  • Delivering services
  • Preparing documents
  • Supporting users through the process

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

15. Amendments

Verity reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on the platform.

Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
